About

Comiri (Co-MEER-ee) is a name built from two Latin roots. Co comes from the Latin word for together, the same root that lets words like coalesce mean to grow together and cooperate mean to work side by side. Miri comes from mirari, to wonder, to marvel, to look at something with astonishment. It is the root that gives us miracle, admire, and mirror. Joined, the two roots say something Latin never needed a single word for: those who wonder together.

That meaning is the heart of this place. Comiri Spiritual Commons is a home for people moving in shared wonder, each walking their own spiritual path while walking beside others. Here every path is honored, every question is welcome, and no one is asked to trade their way of seeing for someone else's. We gather in wonder, we grow together, and we hold each other's journeys with respect.

A Spiritual Commons is a community for spiritual development. It is a shared place to explore how humanity's wisdom traditions have approached the same questions, to practice what is meaningful to you, and to connect with other people doing the same.

Questions are the doorway. The Library holds the traditions in their own words, from public domain sources, and Explore follows a human question across them, showing where the traditions meet and where they meaningfully differ. Practice offers Journeys and reflection you can return to. Community brings people together in Gatherings, Circles, Conversations, and Shared Intentions.

You may stay fully within your own tradition, explore across traditions, follow no fixed path, or simply take part out of curiosity. Spiritual authority stays with you. The people who host and serve here care for the space, and the sources speak for themselves.

Everything in the community is free, Membership included. Gatherings are led by people. A Spiritual Commons belongs to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The optional Commons App is a separate paid product, and buying it changes nothing about how a person belongs here.

People from any tradition, and people from none, are welcome here. All beliefs are welcome within the community's core ethical rules, and no single tradition's framing is the default lens.
