Family

Children have a wonderful way of bringing life’s biggest questions into everyday conversations. A walk through the park, a bedtime story, or a question at the dinner table can open opportunities to explore wonder, kindness, gratitude, belonging, and our connection to the divine.

Comiri Family offers a small collection of illustrated stories and ideas for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to enjoy with the children in their lives.

Exploring together

Children are naturally curious about the world and their place in it. They notice things we sometimes overlook, ask questions that make us think, and discover meaning in the simplest experiences.

Sharing spiritual life with a child can be as easy as watching the stars together, talking about something kind that happened during the day, or taking a few quiet moments to enjoy nature. These experiences can become wonderful opportunities to explore gratitude, compassion, patience, and a growing awareness of the divine.

At Comiri, we recognize the direct connection each person has with the divine. As children grow, their understanding develops through their own experiences, questions, and discoveries. The adults in their lives have a special opportunity to encourage that exploration and enjoy learning alongside them.

A few ideas for everyday life

  1. Notice something wonderful

Take a walk, look at the sky, watch an insect, or spend time in a garden. Ask each other what caught your attention and why.

  2. Follow a question

When a child asks about God, life, kindness, or the world, invite them to share their thoughts. “What do you think?” is a wonderful way to begin a conversation.

  3. Share a little kindness

Find something thoughtful to do together, whether it is welcoming someone new, helping a neighbor, or caring for an animal. Talk about how the experience felt.
